We went to Grapevine today to see Thomas the Train. What a treat for Dean! We met the Verlanders there and had a fun ride on a real train. He can't stop talking about it.

I couldn't sleep any longer even though it was Saturday morning. My mind just wouldn't stop calculating dates and doing the math. So I got up, set my watch for three minutes, and waited. No peeking, just watching the seconds tick by. I hear the familiar thump, thump, thump of Dean coming down the stairs, hiney to step. I meet him at my bedroom door and we climb into bed with John. John is still in a sleepy stupor when he hears me whisper to Dean, "Tell Daddy you are going to be a big brother". Dean repeats, "I be bih brudder". John's eyes fly open and Dean and I jump when he says, "What?!". It is the first of about 10 consecutive "whats", each one full of more excitement and joy than the one before. Dean is giggling and laughing because we are too. He has no idea what that means and we don't really either but we are so happy and excited about what God has in store for us next.

Baby Rolf is due November 21, 2009!
