Bet you thought this blog was about to be deleted for lack of use. But I'm back. I've been pouting about my camera I think and neglecting my blog as a result. So, time to just put it behind me and start writing again!

I figure I better start documenting the things that Dean is doing because he is changing so fast! It is amazing that he is now able to answer our questions and interact with us.

I'll start, "old mcdonald had a farm..." and he will finish "i e DOOOOOOO".

Questions:
What color is your (big red) chair? "bue"
What about this green balloon Dean? "bue"
What color is the yellow block over there? "BUE!"
How about daddy's green truck? "bue"
Wow...let's move on.

How old are you? "whone" (with a chubby index finger pointing to the sky)

Who is that? "mmmmmama!"
Who is that? "daddaaaaaaa!"
What is your name? "whone" (pointing finger again)
moving on again...!

And the best part is when I hear him giving his drum set a few taps and look up to see him drop his sticks and clap for himself saying, "yeeeeeeahhhhhhhhh". And this is where we also cheer him on like the proud parents we are.

I finally sat down yesterday to update the blog. It has been awhile and I had a few months worth of pictures to upload and post. I plug in the camera only to find that the entire card has been erased. Yup. Dean's first time saying his own name was a little video on there, his first time playing his new guitar...August Rush style, his craziness on his tiny drum set...ALL GONE. So, to say that I am upset does not fully capture how I feel. Anyway, I will update again when I get some more pictures. That is, if the camera survived its flight across the living room yesterday and it's exile to Dean's toy box for lack of a more useful purpose!

Life is good when you have a personal pool in the back yard! It makes those hot days bearable...unless you are the one outside the pool taking the pictures! Dean really loves "swimming".
