There is not a sound in the world that I love more than Dean's giggle. It is pure. It is without restraint. It is happiness.

Yesterday, Dean enjoyed a fun day with his cousins in Dennison. They did all the things cousins should do together such as swimming in the blow up pool in the driveway, pushing toys around the garage at break neck speed and freezing their faces with popsicles. Later that night, the older boys were watching a movie and Dean was keeping himself busy with anything and everything he could get his hands on. My sister, Rebecca, made some cookies and set them on the coffee table by the older boys. They were totally glued to the movie but reached down and grabbed a cookie and then set the plate behind them. A few minutes later, Rebecca and I see Dean standing in the corner with his back to us, trying not to be noticed. He is cramming something into his mouth with a desperation that we had never seen in him before. My heart skipped a beat as I rushed over to him, hoping that it wouldn't be a dead bug or something poisonous. About the time I get to him, he turns and his face is COVERED in chocolate. Both hands are covered as well and his mouth is so full, he can barely chew. In a matter of seconds, this sugar loving child had snatched a cookie off the table, run to the corner and devoured it before someone could take it away from him!
Sometimes, when I am paying for my sandwich at Subway, I feel like doing the same thing.

Dean is such a fun age! I love it when he is:
1. Making the motor noise when he plays with his cars
2. Waddling towards me with a book and climbing in my lap so I can read it to him
3. Using his chubby finger to press the button that plays the ABC song on his fridge letter magnet
4. Playing his toy guitar and dancing aka "headbanging" as he plays.
5. Looking at me adoringly and then bursting into laughter
6. Saying "ooo. ooo. ooo." when he hears or sees an airplane or a dog
7. Attacking his daddy so that he will chase him or wrestle with him
8. Begging for whatever it is that we are eating or drinking
9. Grabbing his blanket out of his crib and handing it to me when he wakes up
10. Kissing us (which is pretty much just knocking our heads together)
