Good morning! We are on hour 13 of our journey with little Rolf. Contractions intensified in the night and then tapered off. Sleep didn't really happen for me but John sawed some logs in the awesome chair/bed beside me!
Right now they are neither stopping the labor or inducing it. They are trying to just watch me and see if they can get away with leaving the little guy in his safest environment (me!) as long as possible. If he does not get distressed and has plenty of fluid in there, we apparently can just hang out this way for awhile. He measured at 3 lbs 15 oz.
Good news: I am now on an all liquid diet, which is a step up from ice chips! More good news is we discovered thru the ultrasound yesterday that the baby is no longer breach, but head down and ready. Also, I will soon pass the 24 hour mark from the last steroid shot they gave me and that ensures that it had time to take full effect in the baby's lungs. We are seeing God working!
We really appreciate your prayers and will try to post regularly with updates!
